Nestled into an unassuming strip mall in the Elmwood area, Coffee Cottage is a restaurant that specializes in making most everything from scratch. They are known for their homemade bread and scones and can surprisingly even concoct a decent salsa. The specialties of the house (in the sweet tooth category) are their pastries, the white chocolate bread pudding and key lime pie. Lunch and dinner entrée selections are rotated regularly, but some of the constants are the crawfish pasta, rosemary grilled chicken breast and burgers with sweet potato fries.

A variety of fresh coffees are served at the restaurant, so rest assured that the Cottage’s name is not misleading. Coffee shop standards like cappuccinos, lattes, and shots of espresso are also available.

The interior is simple and efficient, with wood floors and walls warming the establishment. The seating capacity is 80 and it does get full during peak hours.
